Peace Love and Pretty Things supports the gift of love through service--to family, friends and in the community. We'll use this forum as an opportunity to promote community service efforts for our readers so that we can all become more involved in giving back. The best way to receive is to first give and create the positive energy for great things to happen.

We also love to highlight and feature women who are involved in service. Whether you started your own organization, serve on the board of one or simply participate regularly, help us to highlight just how easy it is to give back—and how many different ways there are to do it!
Listed below are upcoming service opportunities (date specific):
LOOK GOOD….FEEL BETTER: Volunteer Licensed Cosmetologists and/or Aestheticians are trained to present programs on appearance (make-up, hair and wig styling, scarf tying) for cancer patients who are undergoing treatment. Each patient receives a free makeup kit to use during the session & to take home.
EACH TO RECOVERY: Female volunteers who have experienced breast cancer are trained to visit women who are undergoing breast cancer treatments.
RELAY FOR LIFE: Volunteers are needed to plan and execute this fun-filled overnight activity that mobilizes communities to celebrate survivorship, remember those that have lost their lives to cancer and to raise money for the fight against cancer.
ROAD TO RECOVERY: Volunteers in this transportation program are needed to drive patients to and from lifesaving cancer treatment on weekdays. Volunteers use their own vehicle.
WIG ROOM: Volunteers assist cancer patients through our no-cost wig program.
